Configure Tags: Ability to Merge and Archive Tags

Tags can be used in reporting and filtered against. However, there is an ability to have the same tag listed multiple times or named slightly different because of case sensitivity.

If I use a tag "Impact" for 5 features, but there are a 2 features that have the tag "impact".

If I have a report using a filter of "Impact" i am only going to show 5 features not 7 features because of the upper/lower casing of the word.

The request is to merge or sync the two tags so it will show up in the report or eliminate the redundant tag.

Thank you for the note. This is currently possible from Settings -> Account -> Configure tags. When you hover over a tag you will see an option called Replace. Clicking replace will allow you to select another tag to merge the tag into.

merging a tag is not the same as archiving it so it cannot be used again or seen in the Tag drop down.

Is it possible to force case sensitivity?   we are having a big problem with aha and jira users mixing case sensitivity and the integration is pushing two different tags back and forth.  it's pretty annoying after we replace them in Aha and then jira will forcefully separate them again.

Hi Joe, you can delete tags when they no longer being used with any records. When you click on the link in the Features/Master features/Ideas column you will be taken to a list view so that you can quickly bulk edit and remove the tag. After that you can delete it. The Replace option may be faster as it can be done even when the tag is being used.

I did find it after I put the note. However, is there a way to archive tags so they don't come up in a list. We have tags that will never be used again and want to eliminate them from the list.
