Webp export option

Google's Webp is becoming a more common format for export. As it retains the best of both PNG and JPG along with GIF's ability to animate, it is truly a forward-thinking image format. Would be nice to see this added, if only for the optics of being a company that gets it.

    Thank you for the idea. Given the current options for exporting and other priorities it is unlikely that we will implement this idea at this time. However we will certainly monitor this idea to see feedback from the community. We hope you can understand.

      Understand completely. Was more of a nice-to-have idea for your software roadmap than a need. I was more thinking in terms of your company optics that it makes the company seem more forward-thinking, but it certainly isn't a deal-breaker for functionality.
