We have a large organization with multiple divisions under using Aha!. Need to create a single Notebook that can host all Roadmaps for specific division for easy access. Limit of 40 is very low. Need this to be in 80-100 range.
Thank you for the idea. The limit on notebook pages is in place to protect customers from creating a challenge where the experience of viewing a notebook is poor.
Originally notebooks could contain an unlimited number of pages. At that time we customers who tried to create notebooks with upwards of 100 pages and found that it would lock up their browser. Particularly when using Internet Explorer, but also with other browsers. When making the decision of the current cap of 40 pages we looked at the data to determine the distribution across all users. We found that less than .5% of notebooks have 30 or more pages.
We recently made an improvement to the way notebook pages load upon initial viewing. This helps the notebook load much faster initially, but still doesn't allow for an extremely large number of pages since as soon as a large number of pages have been viewed the performance issues will begin.
We would recommend that notebooks needing more than 40 pages be broken into multiple notebooks. Given the browser performance risks and this work around, it is unlikely that we will implement this idea at this time.
