Improved table formatting in free text areas

When using a table in a free text area, more formatting options would be great. |
In particular, I don't seem to be able to make the columns stick at equal width, as you can see. |

Ideally, I would like to be able to format my table in such a way I could more easily *see* my table headers. If I have a (gray) shaded table header in JIRA and synchronize back to aha, the formatting of color in the table holds. However, I cannot...

We would love the ability to adjust the width of table columns. We use the notes extensively and publish to notebooks - it just makes it painful and hard to read when you cannot edit the widths.
Or, support Markdown in text areas, including markdown tables.
