You have three models we can chose right now configuring the idea portal. But non of these is option fit.
Our requirement is to have a client idea page where restricted user under specific domains can leave/vote and review their own "domain" ideas. They should NOT see any others ideas on the idea page. Only the once from their company/domain.
Thank you for the note. There are a couple workarounds which may help you with the end goal of allowing users of the same domain view and access ideas by others with the same domain.
One approach would be to create private portals for each customer type. While this may cause more upkeep, it could be one potential option. If privacy of ideas is most important, another option you might consider in the tradeoff is to instead use a Submit only portal.
At this time based on current priorities and existing functionality, we are unlikely to make updates in this area in the near term. We hope you can understand.
I'm actually trying to implement a variation of this right now in that I only want ideas from MY domain viewable by MY domain users. This will allow us to use the IDeation portal for internal ideation without worrying about partners/customers seeing it. It should be able to be set by default to do this where I as the product manager could change the visibility of the idea if it's suitable for consumption by the outside world.
This idea would be useful – as a saas provider to large enterprise, we don't necessarily want our customers to be able to see ideas submitted by other companies. We use a custom field at the moment to associate ideas / features with the customer / organisation. Either being able to tag the idea portal users in some common way, or as suggested assume it from the email domain of the portal user.
