Set feature rank directly

Drag and drop is onerous only available in full release view.  User should be able to directly enter rank position (or even before/after another ticket reference.)

I change the board display to show the least info I can for better drag and drop, and still features gets dropped not where I aimed it. Adding ranking directly in the feature, or re-ranking by entering rank number in list (inline, without having to open each and every feature view panel) is extreemly needed.

Please add a way to force reranking to happen. Also please add ability to drag and drop rank order on not just Board view, but in all views. Would also be good to just enter the ranking as a number in Board View, list veiwe etc ...

100% need this. I getting carpal tunnel and feel like I'm being punished for reranking.

Very much needed, especially for large backlogs

I'd like to see ordinal ranking available for mutliple types of records (initiatives, features and ideas, etc)

I echo this. Agile best practices say you should ordinally rank your backlog so it is well groomed and you can evaluate any new item against an already prioritized list. If you have many items in the backlog drag and drop just does not cut it.

Adding to the comments already made, it would be ideal for this to be entered via a field in the feature detail directly (instead of only through drag and drop).

Trying to drag and drop a feature in a long list is difficult and kludgy. Having the ability to easily enter the rank position as a field value would vastly improve the user experience.

I work with large lists of requirements/features(migrating to AHA! from multiple .xls) and often need a way of ranking multiple items at a time.  I like the multi-select drag and drop but the lag in scrolling takes time especially when you are fishing through hundreds of requirements.

DnD does not work well unless your list is very short.

I also want this...I should be able to set the feature rank by dragging and dropping the feature

    Couple of suggestions here..

in Feature/List, ability to type over the rank and above. When number conflicts with in existing ranked then insert below and adjust ranked list.

    or

in the feature list, select and move/up the feature using arrows.. (with and arrow to top or bottom)

I would like it to work like the Netflix DVD queue does: there is a "move" button available on each item (with Netflix it appears on hover).  When you click "move" it presents 2 options: move to top and move to position where you can enter the index.   Additionally, it would be neat to have a "move before/after" option that gives me an input box like search that i can enter the feature to move it above (or below).  Basically I don't want to have to drag and drop in a large set of features.
