We have a history of ideas that go back a long ways in many cases and losing the context of the history of the idea really diminishes the value of the portal for us as it limits new PMs in our rapidly expanding org from understanding the "historical perspective" if you will. When PMs close out an idea when we ship a feature it is really useful for them to know that there are users out there who've been asking for it since 2012. With comments I'd argue that this is even more important - are users still asking for the same thing or was the last comment added 3 years ago? We can't tell in the current set up.
