retain creation dates when data is restored

my entire product was deleted by accident.  when it was restored, the creation date and time for everything was all marked as the current date/time.  is there anyway when data is restored, the original submit date could be as well?

my product only has data in the ideas currently, so i am not sure if this would be the case for other data throughout the product.  i selected the category of ideas for this reason

    Thank you for the idea. This is possible today when restoring records from the recycle bin. These records will now maintain their previous history events. The status of this idea was out of date.

      Great idea. When restoring deleted items that were deleted by accident, it's vitally important to maintain the original attributes of the messages.
