It would be great to create a list, filter it as needed, and then export in a CSV with all the headings and required fields setup for re-importing. That way, I can export, make changes in Excel, and re-import without needing to add required fields and change the headings.
We currently provide a variety of editing controls in Aha!, including the ability to bulk edit many key fields. As noted, it is also possible to import features into Aha! via CSV.
At this time, we do not have plans for exported feature lists to be in the same format as the CSV import. This is primarily because the export tends to be used for visualization purposes, and the CSV import format is more related to the code (than visualization). Based on this rationale and current priorities, we are unlikely to make these specific changes. We hope you can understand.
Providing an export allows for offline editing, which is useful when actually offline, but also from my experience can be easier than editing within the webapp, even with features suck as bulk edit.
The ability to export data also provides comfort in knowing that the time put into entering data into Aha! is useful beyond its life in this tool.
Is there currently another way to do this?
