You can now choose Monday as the first day of the week for calendars and timelines by navigating to Settings > Personal > Profile.

Good news – this idea is actively being worked on and is planned to ship by the end of the year.

Agreed. This is a US-centric thing in so many apps I have lost count. Extremely annoying every time you come across it. Note rather than Monday all good software allows you to set the work week start date as a preference.
Fundamental for non-US markets. This feature has been under consideration for 5 years already =/
Impossible to work on a gantt chart with week view without that feature.

If a proposal was mentioned since 2014 and has the status "likely to implement", how likely is it that the feature will be implemented?
Any update on when this will be implemented? Having Sunday hardcoded as the start of the week can be frustrating and confusing for European user. A week starts on Monday in Europe and it adds unnecessary noise when the one in Aha needs to start on Sunday.

All the yellow and green countries in this map would love you to enable weeks starting on another day than Sunday.

Yes please! Even better, make it possible for users to specify the weekdays/weekends according to their circumstances.
I'm in the Middle East and, although most weeks DO begin on Sunday, our company has Saturday as a working day.
So, in our situation, we only have 1 weekend day (i.e. Friday) and it would be great if Aha could reflect that.
Making it possible for users to set it ensures that everyone's happy! Those who have Sat & Sun can be happy, those who have Fri & Sat can be happy and poor souls like us who only have Fri can be happy! :D
