Option to show Private Comments in ideas portal for aha users with viewer permissions Merged

We use the ideas portal for our internal staff, who all have aha user accounts with Viewer permissions) and for our external customers.

For our internal users, we would like them to be able to see private comments on the portal, can you add an option to allow them to view private comments?

    We also need this!

I really don't know why this will not be implemented as it adds really a lot of value to the ideas portal.
Being able to add private comments to public ideas will contribute to employees and customers both comment on the same idea.

We internally can then easily see all information at a glance.

Granting access to all employees (which have to be set to reviewers) to the "backend" is just not the right thing. Everyone should have the same UI! Otherwise employees would need to switch all the time to the backend to set the private comment.

Please think about implementing this. All we would need is a new button "Add PRIVATE Comment" which is only visible for portal users that are "Employees/Partner". This would solve our issue.

Users that do not have this right should only be able to add public comments.

Would be great to have this. We currently don't give our Support team access to Aha, and so they can't add any private information to public ideas.

You could also make this "private comments/ideas post" option an enterprise only feature.

We too would love to have this.  We have hundreds of employees and do not want to expose the aha tool to all users.  We would like to have one idea portal for both customer and employee but keep the employee's idea( supported today) vote tally and comment (don't believe its supported today) as private. Right now we have 2 portals.  One for internal and one for external.  However its a pain because some employees may post or comment on a customer private portal and we have to go back to remove it or change the "product" of the idea to move the idea to the internal idea portal.  This creates duplicates and harder to tally votes.  The idea portal is great as it is super simple for just about any user.  Using the aha tool for all users with the enterprise plan is just not a viable option for us.

We're hoping to use Aha! with both our internal team (account managers, sales, etc.) and customers. Is there a way to allow our internal team to post private comments (so customers don't see them), but NOT have access to all the exact release dates, etc. Currently the reviewer view allows commenting, but also reveals a huge amount of info that we want to keep within just the product org, since that info is constantly changing.

We purposely built this so that the idea portal would be focused on getting feedback on the ideas (from a submission/voting/commenting perspective) and that the internal application is more used to vet the ideas and to privately/publicly comment on them to make decisions on priorities.

We're unlikely to make changes in this manner to the Idea Portal to keep things clean in this regard.
