When some ideas are submitted to us, the idea comes through with 2 or 3 (or in some cases more!) ideas in it. We have a few custom fields that tie to each submitted idea - so what would be good is if there was a "Split Idea" button which essentially duplicated the idea, but then prompted you to remove all the detail in the summary, so that you can narrow it down to one specific idea.
Another way of implementing may be to click split idea, then a window comes up and asks you to highlight each individual idea. This would then create the relevant idea records and retain all the custom fields etc..
Our clients often log a number of Ideas as a single Idea in Aha!. When we are checking to ensure that we fully understand an Idea, before setting the Status to Future Consideration, we try to make sure that an Idea can be made available as a single development.
If an Idea contains more than one development, in collaboration with the client who raised the Idea, we try to split it into single developments.
This seems to work fine except that some of our clients are concerned that the part of the Idea being split off is not getting the votes that it should.
We think that the easiest way forward for this would be to have a split function that would allow all the votes on the original Idea to be duplicated across to the split Idea.
Thanks

We are having significant issues with this with our most active Ideas user community and would love this functionality to be available ASAP. This community submitted over 200 Ideas last year alone so it would be extremely helpful to our Product Management team for this product to be able to split these out and manage them separately without having to go back and add more work onto the user.
Any update on when this may be delivered?
This would be really helpful to not over fill features into the feature backlog - acts as a gate to keep Aha! clean on what is actually being worked on or in Product Discovery - versus features that just sit or have many requirements that are beyond MVP.
Any idea when this "likely to implement" goes into a release? All our submitters are multi-posters
Yes, ideas often come in as "I'd like these 2,3, n things"
