User Story Mapping

I would like to be able to have a user story mapping tool added to aha. This is useful in that it enables us to see what a priority of a release would be and what is a minimum viable product versus what would be added to a later sprint.

This would also be useful on the product backlog as we have over 400 items on there and it is very hard to see which the wood for the trees to prioritise them.

We are excited to introduce user story maps in Aha! — now you can define your user's journey and plan how you will improve their experience.

Thanks for taking the time to share feedback, Adam!

Ideas: Can you please create new ideas for the two you noted? This will help prioritize and gather community feedback. Also, sharing more context in the new ideas would be valuable to better understanding your use cases. For example, why duplicating a map is useful vs reusing the existing one with new releases for future improvements.

Bugs: These are areas that we are hoping to address shortly. Thanks for raising them!

    Thank you!

    It's a great feature... but...

Things that need to be adding to this new feature, as right now it's quite frustrating to use.

    1. Duplicate User Storey Map
    2. Drag and drop a 'feature' from the 'edit master feature details' side panel (or just a link 'send to map' since you know where it belongs anyway.

    Bugs

    1. the columns auto slide to the right when they shouldn't
    2. It always adds a new 'release' every time you create a new Map
    3. when you add your own 'releases' the original 'release' that doesn't really exist, stays on the diagram wasting space.

not the best bug descriptions, feel free to contact me if you want more.

    thanks

New to aha and assumed this would be here, glad it's on the roadmap but not impressed by how long it's been here.  HUGE need of mine, big +1!!

We use to use https://cardboardit.com/ and https://storiesonboard.com/. Both apps are great, but we lose time moving everything to Aha! when we are done. Now we set up some pivot reports to visualize our stories, but it's not ideal because we don't have the same level of interactivity. Having the ability to view products as story maps would be awesome!

Is there an update available for this idea? Is this still being planned?

Seems like a highly desirable feature.  It would be valuable to our organisation as well as it would prevent the need for custom fields to capture user story elements.  What is the likelihood of seeing this feature being developed in the near future?

    This is so badly needed.

This has not been updated in 3 years.  Where does this sit?

Would like to see it to. It combines all dimensions for planning. Now it is oriented on releases on a time scale. Before that can be done a picture on what can be put in wich release that can be pussed around a bit should be done before putting releases on a time scale.

Yes please as this will save POs a heap of time currently spent copy pasting Epics and Stories from story mapping tools. Also really useful to have the ability to slice out MVP and subsequent releases within Aha! which for us and other Jira users can be exported to the teams with no further manual intervention.

Another vote for story mapping. Goals exist today, it would be great to be able to visualize how to achieve those goals via story mapping.

Very interested in this feature as all of our work is currently based on customer journey research, and need to continue to help stakeholders see our progress from the journey perspective.

Here's another vote for an integration with StorieOnBoard! We're looking into Aha! but don't want to give up our story mapping tool.

This is the missing link, it allows you to visualize high-level product ‘architecture’, something feature boards are woefully inadequate for.

Hi there! I'd like to know whether this has been planned in yet, or when we can expect it might come?

I agree. A StoriesOnBoard.com integration would be super helpful!

I would like to see either this feature directly implemented in Aha! or, like others, a nice integration done in to Stories On Board

Utilize Existing Records in Mock-Up Tool for User Story Mapping

We end up having to recreate records as images, which is tedious & costly only to have to restructure the records after playing around in Mock-Ups. Would make sense to have everything connected or a valid User Mapping Tool.
