Create release templates from existing releases

While planning releases for a new product most of the time templates "reveal" themselves. It would be a huge time saver to be able to export existing release plans into templates for further use

The ability to copy an existing release is available today. When you create a new release, you can choose to copy an existing release. I recommend creating a template release that you never ship to keep it clean.

This would be a great feature. I'm surprised it's not already integrated as it's an intuitive way to create templates.
The above admin response is not correct - It's not the same thing. I want to make a new template from an existing release.
