The timeline view tends to be very wide but not very high. When this is the case, I'd like the timeline to stagger the feature boxes at two alternating vertical heights so that they require less horizontal space. This would give the timeline an aspect ratio that is more in keeping with that of a powerpoint page or a printed page. Without this feature, I frequently find myself with wide, short timelines that are not easily viewed in any printed or presentation format.
Hi, I disagree that this has been shipped. This request was put in and (at least partially) voted on before the new Reports. It now refers to the Features Roadmap view.
We recently launched updates to our Report Timelines which allow you to save space by stacking bars when there is available space. You can access this by clicking the "Settings" button on the Report-timelines page.

I've taken to breaking down the roadmap into multiple periods, but have found that, even with less content, the roadmap doesn't make good use of the available space. The result is that all the releases are scrunched on the left, with blank space on the screen. Greatly impacts the usefulness of the view.
