Custom worksheet date validation

When I enter data into custom date fields which are part of a worksheet field, and the format is set to DD-MM-YYYY it doesn't accept my entry in this format. I must enter the date as YYYY-MM-DD which will then convert it to my desired DD-MM-YYYY format. I would like to enter the date in the same format it is displayed.

I also agree, this is confusing for the user, especially if overwriting/re-entering a date, you automatically type in the format to which it was originally displayed. This has tripped several of our users up.

Agreed! The switching of the entry vs. display is strange from a user perspective. Need them to match.

It would also be great if the custom field could display a date picker, in the same way it is does for the built-in Aha! date fields

It would be really useful if the behaviour was the same as entering a date in MS Excel, where it could be entered in a number of different ways but always then display in the format specified e.g. entering 28/08 would automatically be recognised as 28 Aug 2020 and could then display in a specified yyyy-mm-dd format as 2020-08-28.
