History for Equation Fields in a Custom Table

I am requesting the ability to view History in a Custom Table with Equation fields. I was told that History is available for a feature and a custom table, but not with Equation fields within a Custom Table.

It would be ideal to see who added or made a change to an entry in the table, when and what it was changed from. This feature would be valuable from a Quality Assurance perspective within our team.
