Contractual Committments

For B2B enterprise products, it would be good to be able to track customer committed deliverables. Right now we have to do a few work arounds: follow a naming convention for ideas or tags for features to associate "client contract scope items". Then as we do release planning, to see if any contracted deliverables will be missed by target date is a manual recon after-the-fact. Scoring also has to take this into account. A few different ways to think about / accomplish this. This is especially useful for those that have a large pipeline of work for contracted deliverables as part of client projects, or those that allow some level of customization of their product.

Thank you for your idea. As noted, there are a few ways to capture this type of information currently. Additional suggestions would be:

    • Custom fields - this would add more structure than the tag or naming convention

    • Custom tables - additional details, such as customer name, due date, etc could be captured on each record

Given the current options and other priorities, we are unlikely to implement this idea at this time. We hope you can understand.
