Make workflow status description visible for everyone

The configuration of work flow statuses is a great tool to customize your view in aha. Unfortunately the Status descriptions are only visible in the configuration mode (which is only available for a specific typ of user). This leads to confusion for the other users. Therefore we would suggest implementing a "tool tip" which includes the Status description.

Totally agree that this would be really useful! I would like to be able to show users and other stakeholders what the different statuses mean.

Something similar to the tooltip that can be shown in the Scorecards would be nice to help users understand what our Statuses mean would be useful.

Having a description available to view on the workflow would allow for a person to learn what's expected in each status and what's required to move to the next state. Without that, they have to go somewhere to learn.

I shared a view from Rally where they have exit agreements which allow us to define the criteria and you see it where you're working and not have to find a wiki to learn. That step is likely to not happen.

Surfacing this information would be a very helpful aid in bringing internal and external stakeholders up to speed when trying to adopt Aha. I try to define my statuses so they allow a person to make as many safe assumptions about the related work as possible, but getting that information to stick is a challenge. I can throw it in a wiki somewhere, but then it is not readily available when they're most likely to benefit from the information.

Yes! I would love this information as a tool tip....especially in the Workflow view. I use the description for notes to my team about what they should be doing in that particular stage of the workflow.
