Currently, users can complete Aha! records without completing the work beneath them. For example, a feature can be closed even when its child requirements are still open.
If parent records are marked as shipped or complete while child records remain open, that work may linger in the backlog indefinitely or need to be closed later, which can distort reporting on when work was actually completed.
Requiring related work to be closed together would improve data quality and make record status more reliable.
If a user tries to close a record that has open downstream work, they should see a warning that the remaining work must be completed first. Ideally, they could also close those downstream records directly from the modal.
Ideally, this would be controlled by an optional workspace setting.
