What is the challenge? |
Having a single filter for both ranked and unranked lists on the prioritization page means that teams can't see a focused unranked list for discussion alongside an overall 'master' list. Some teams require this to efficiently discuss and prioritize their ideas. |
What is the impact? |
Teams that need a focused unranked list for discussion alongside an overall 'master' list can't efficiently run their idea prioritization process. |
Describe your idea |
Enable a separate filter for the unranked and ranked idea lists on the idea prioritization page. |
Thank you all for the feedback. We attempted to simplify the filters but we can see that the additional flexibility was needed for many of your critical workflows. We are very grateful for the quick feedback which helped us understand the challenge quickly and clearly.
We have updated prioritization views back to their previous behavior. You will now see separate filter sets for unranked and ranked sides of the view. We hope this helps!
Re: Idea filters: I would like to be able to filter Unranked Ideas for status’ that are not yet ready for Senior Leadership Discussion (Ranked board “Ideas Prioritization – Combined”), such as New, Added to Roadmap, Need more Info…..
I refer to both during discussion, and don’t want the Ranked board “Ideas Prioritization – Combined” view/table to change when I reference Unranked Ideas (which will have different status’, though may overlap infrequently).
And same input as provided by Stephanie Redl 4/9/25. This hsa completely changed how I am able to present to senior leadership. They are seperate lists for a reason; I don't want same status in both. This change has completely destroyed my workflow, please enable the separate filters back.
This change has completely destroyed my workflow, please enable the separate filters back. The unranked list was the backlog of things - i.e. it was showing the queue (without let's say "Under consideration" or "Waiting" statuses that aren't actionable yet). And then the prioritized list was the focus list for things to work on right now, independently of status, sometimes records assigned to others which I want to follow (but would not have in the queue).
Now the behavior is just strange. Of course I would not want to see "Shipped" records in the queue (unranked), but when I remove that status via the global filter, they also just disappear from the prioritized list leaving gaps in the ranking numbers. So I'm finding myself constantly fiddling with the filter to either get the prio or the unranked list right.
I was mostly using it for Feature records.
