What is the challenge? |
We have centralized Product teams who prefer to monitor a shared inbox for idea submissions rather than their personal emails. |
What is the impact? |
Slower reaction to idea submission, confusion as to who has seen the submission. Turnover of product team members requires admins to update automation rules whenever someone joins/leaves a team. |
Describe your idea |
Allow email notifications to be sent to non-user addresses. This would reduce the need for maintenance as we could set the automation rule once and not have to change it for the lifespan of the product. |
Thank you for your idea. One suggestion would be to create a free viewer or reviewer user using the general email address. You could then create automations to send to that email. Given this approach and other priorities, we are unlikely to implement this idea at this time. We hope you can understand.
I'm thinking that workaround would be very difficult for us to implement. I would like the ability to send notifications via automation to a slack channel via the slack channel's email address. This is in itself is a workaround as tighter integration with Slack for automations would also work. Use case, we are getting close to an IDEA response SLA and in addition to a personal email or ToDo I'd like to send it to a shared slack channel so that more of a team-based approach could be used.
