What is the challenge? |
Cards may need to be marked as 'blocked' prior to entering a sprint, to show us that the work is not yet ready to enter a sprint during sprint planning. |
What is the impact? |
By automatically entering the sprint when a card is marked as 'blocked', we have to pull the card back out of the sprint and into the backlog where it belongs. This is obviously an extra step, leaves room for human error, and effects our sprint metrics by showing it was added to the sprint and then removed. |
Describe your idea |
Remove the automated sprint entry step. A person should have to bring it into the sprint. |
Sure. Steps to recreate:
* On the develop area in the Backlog Management page
* Click to open card (no sprint is assigned)
* Change Team Status to Blocked
* Card disappeared from Backlog Management page
* Go to current sprint board / workflow board
* Card displays in the Blocked column; card is assigned to the current sprint
Thank you,

Hi,
Changing the status or adding data to a record (like blocked) will not move a record into a sprint.
Please could you show the steps that you follow to make this happen so that I can better understand your problem.
Once I have that data I will update the Idea status to reflect the new information.
Thanks
