What is the challenge? |
Aha Draft with AI Writing Assistant currently offers three preloaded options:
However, this limited selection doesn't accommodate all of our needs. We would love the ability to create custom prompts that are preloaded for Product Managers to fill in. |

Describe your idea |
We propose adding a feature to Aha's Writing Assistant that allows users to create and save custom prompts with predefined parameters. Something to the effect of:
By implementing this idea, it would help provide our product teams with a powerful tool to streamline their workflow, ensuring that executive summaries are consistently structured, comprehensive, and tailored to our specific needs. This enhancement will not only save time but also improve the quality of communication between product teams and executives, leading to more informed decision-making and better alignment on product strategies. |
Building on this, it would be great to be able to select what fields in Aha! the AI is looking at when it generates content like release notes. For example, we use a custom Note field that we call 'External Description' that uses customer-facing language that appears on roadmaps we share with our customers. Ideally, that's what the AI would draw from. We use the standard 'description' field for our detailed internal notes on a feature, which may not be written in customer facing language, might include notes on data structures, security, or other things we don't want to include in release notes. We could switch these, but we've created templates by feature Type for the description field (e.g. how to recreate a bug for a 'bug' Type) that we'd lose by going to a custom field for our internal notes.
