custom layout templates based on fields other than status
Would be great to be able to change the layouts based on the "type" field or a custom field setting. We have some fields that are only relevant based on a specific classification of work and it would be great to be able to provide a specific UI based on that classification. We have created some different layouts based on status but this means replicating the same layout across multiple status's.

I too would be interested in this for establishing a fixed workflow applicable to a custom field. This would allow for using existing workspaces in different ways without having to change the fundamental configuration of the workspace. At the moment we have to consider either doubling up on workspaces or overloading the Status field. Either way is a clunky solution.
100% - we have created an entirely new workspace for a program in our product because of this limitation. I would like to set a custom layout to be used based on the type of issue. For example, we closely align our reference architecture features to our product features. However, we have a separate workspace for reference architectures since we need to use custom types and custom layouts for those types.
