We have the option edit the colors for statuses via the Settings ⚙️ → Account → Statuses and workflows page; however, for users who have color blindness, changing the hue doesn't help much.
We're looking to have the option for a texture or pattern to be applied, similar to what tools like trello provide (https://wearecolorblind.com/examples/trello-colorblind-friendly-mode).
This would be fantastic. I cannot identify many colors chosen in the Roadmap and Kanban board. Please consider having this option.
Using patterns would be another step in the right direction like here: https://uxcellence.com/2018/accessible-color-contrast
Adding a comment to support this. Accessibility is an important part of all software products these days and not offering any support for something that affects a huge number of the population is disappointing and is affecting the user experience for several people in our company.
Xcel Energy recent asked for this same option for the OS Optimization Tool for Horizon. One of their admins is colorblind and cannot distinguish between applied and not applied in the Analysis Summary as detailed in the attached email. Adding a pattern, as previously suggested, or allowing for a table would aid those who cannot distinguish between red and green.
Accessibility is important, and shades of red and green are very difficult for close to 10% of the population to differentiate! It would be awesome to get some kind of pattern or texture implemented as described above.
