Ability to filter reports dynamically in the dashboard. For example, apply an initiative filter to all reports in the dashbaord so I don't have to create multiple dashboards showing the same information for different initiatives.
We operate with several product teams and this would greatly impact our administrative tasks. I have at least 10 identical dashboards share the same content for each product team (with just as many individual reports). If any adjustments are requested or need to be made to any of the things in the Dashboard, I have to update them to all of the different boards as well. It's very tedious and time consuming. We would also need this to filter on custom fields, not just standard Aha! fields.
We'd like custom fields being supported in Dashboard, as well as the native ones. Being limited to Workspace, Release and Initiative is generating a lot of works in duplicating Dashboards. This would be a game changer for us, both for product manager but also for all the people consulting those dashboards (company heads, team leads, internal clients, team members..) We'll be able to stop creating X Dashboards for tracking the same indicators but for different teams, different client or different areas of our products.
This would make it a lot easier to make dashboards for large organizations because you could make a single dashboard, then allow the user to apply a filter by team. Particularly helpful for organizations not built around matrixed product teams.
It would be great if the number of records in a dashboard panel was not limited to 50. I use dashboard panels to dynamically display all of our intake items by types of status on several different dashboards. The only way to reduce the number of records in a given panel is to create individual dashboards for each person assigned to items. I'd rather be able to use a dashboard filter to select the specific person assigned to the intake items.
The lack of this feature is causing massive undue hours of time for any dashboard creators because the lack of it necessitates creating countless individual dashboards that are identical, but built on a different field that then they all have to be individually updated every time you want to make an update or change. Also want to note that the filtering needs to include any custom fields as well to be useful.
WE NEED THIS! We need to create a ton of dashboards in order to pull the different category of epics since dashboard filter cannot be used for pulling data that categorized by specific epic fields.
We would love the ability to further filter down on dashboards. Currently, we can filter by workspace, but it would be great to also be able to filter by custom fields such as 'Categories' for ideas. That way we can send one dashboard to our PMs to view all ideas, and then they can filter by the category assigned to the idea.
Here here! My most critical additional dashboard filtering needs are Timeframe and Custom Fields. (Not sure if you are tackling this globally (filter by anything) or simply trying to add a few more options to the very limited list of Workspace, Release, and Initiative options.)
Please can you also add more filter options, such as TAGs one. As at the moment filtering option is extremely limited, in addition to it's inability to apply filter to all reports/charts within dashboard.
Adding to what others have already stated, being able to filter at the dashboard level with the same detailed filtering available in reports is something we badly need to support individuals within each of our teams. Right now we need to create copies of the exact same dashboard then filter each report in each panel so we can see assignees which is unnecessary overhead.
Dynamic dashboards should be a core requirement/function of a modern dashboard feature. As below, without the ability to filter on the fly, it creates the necessity to replicate the dashboard for multiple audiences etc. The ability to lock the dashboard filters should also be considered.
I need to be able to filter on Organization Name. I made a custom dashboard panel to view an organization's voting and interactions. To use this dashboard, I would have to go into each panel to change the filter of Org Name.
If you think about it, if the query associated with that dashboard panel isn't applicable, so be-it - it is on the designer instead of having the software limit the capability. Or, it might not even be relevant and is ignored.
Being able to add these filters limits knowing when to update reports associated with the dashboards - it also ends up creating many reports. For example, we have a quarterly view dashboard - however, we have to create different ones for each quarter because we have to create dashboard panels that are automatically filtered to that quarter.
It reduces the number of both reports and dashboards if we could add the quarter filter to the dashboard.
Right now - we are generating so many reports and dashboards, it's very hard to know which ones are still in use and which ones are not and you can delete or archive.
We are trying to put together some standard dashboards displaying ideas raised by a given organization. As we are not able to add an organization filter on the dashboard, we have to create multiple copies of the same dashboard which makes them extremely difficult to maintain:
a new dashboard needs to be created for each new organization
if we want to add a field to one of the charts of the dashboard, we need to make the same change across all copies of the dashboard.
It would be really useful to have more flexibility on the filters that can be set up on a dashboard and for the filter selection to apply to all charts/pivots/lists in the dashboard.
Dashboard filter by release and workspace is great. But we have multiple teams (10 teams) working on a release and each would like to track they scope and progress. Today, we need to create dashboard for each team with custom views; very inefficient and multiple views and dashboards. If there a way to filter the dashboard by the feature team custom field, we would only need one dashboard.
Being able to filter dashboards with the same granularity we have with individual reports is really needed. As a large organization...custom fields are very common/important and looking at dashboard panels at varying levels is common/important. Every company uses Aha! differently in terms of how we might track work (strategy, funding, execution) and how we group work (product group, product platform, business unit). Having the ability to apply dynamic filters within a dashboard would allow one dashboard to support discussions based on who is "in the room" at the time of discussion and create an easier way to expand the data we see based on questions asked.
We REALLY need this! We often need to view dashboards by Division (which is a custom field), or Timeframe (OOTB field) or by Dev Director (custom field) or Head of Product (custom field) or by Investment Category (custom field). These are just a few examples. Currently, we need to create one master template, then Save As and manually update every report panel - often needing to create multiple dashboards which is time consuming and also makes version control difficult as if we then update the master, we need to manually update (and remember to update) all the variants.
I would be interested in the ability to filter by organization on the dashboard. This would avoid creating copies of a generic dashboard for each organization.
It would be helpful to be able to add the assignee as a filter to the Dashboard filters. currently it is limited to Workspace, Release, Initiative.
