Instead of showing burndowns based on feature and requirements, show them based on story points. So on day 1, you start out at full story points (release capacity) and with each daily increment you are indicating how much effort remains in story points.
We are excited to launch the new progress chart which provides a detailed burndown view. If you have capacity planning turned on, you will have the ability to customize the view in time or points.
You can navigate to Release > Details > Progress to view the new chart at the bottom of the screen.
Hi Pete, you can find the burndown chart in the Release -> Details. If you haven't already, you'll need to enable capacity planning in order to see them by effort. You can find more details here.
This is marked as shipped but I can't find burndown charts in Aha! Where are they hiding?
A classic burndown is essential in my opinion!
Yes please.. Would love to keep using Aha, would be great to see it these kind of reports as well.
+Ron Yang, thanks for the note--I missed this feature and it will be very helpful. It doesn't take away our need for a burndown chart, but it is an improvement for sure.
Thanks for the note. Have you seen recent updates to our Kanban board? You can view points or time remaining for the entire release or for each user. Each day, you can view the board to see updates in terms of overall progress for the release.
In order to view this, you will need to enable capacity planning as well as to show the Features->workflow page.
You can see more details on our blog post: http://blog.aha.io/index.php/just-launched-view-points-on-your-kanban-board/
Yes and no. Burndown is absolutely essential, but it should be in story pints or in hours, for those estimating in hours. (and possibly keeping track of updated ETC, our view of the world does change all the time ...)
Yes time is important as well....
It would be useful to have burndown in hours or time as well. Make the burndown reporting a configurable options to provide users flexibility.
Just about to go do this manually in Excel.
