Wait before creating new integrations of Requirements Merged

Looking for a way to best utilize the ability to choose the type of item to be created in the integrated system.

My integration to VSTS (now DevOps) allows me to choose to send an Aha! requirement to VSTS as either a story or a bug.  If the feature has already been integrated with VSTS and I add a new requirement, it automatically creates a story in VSTS and I don't have the opportunity to send it as a bug instead.  

I tried changing the Automatic Sending option in the integration settings but it doesn't seem to apply to new items.
