I never want to "Edit" the way my slides look. In the future I may and i'm sure others do want to edit slides.
The better approach here would've been to embed Charts and Objects into notes with the ability to freefrom edit the note and then users could add the notes to a presentation.
Now it's impossible to not edit a slide in my presentation when I want to change the refresh behavior.
Also, the auto saving is pretty bad here, because any change made to the layout was not intentional.
The main reason I address an individual slide is to change the refresh behavior and that doesn't show up by default when I click edit. Changing the default refresh behavior is now 3 clicks deep.
Thank you for the idea. Given the low volume of support for this idea, we do not have plans to make updates in this area at this time. We hope you can understand.
Got it. I didn't realize this was the case. "In some cases it could make sense for those views to have different settings."
Is it that when you go to edit the refresh settings on a view you accidentally update some other aspect of the slide? YES
It's a flow of adding a number of items to a notebook then modifying the default refresh for each of the slides.
Thank you for your idea. The reason the settings for the view do not show up by default is that you can now have multiple views on a single slide. In some cases it could make sense for those views to have different settings.
I would like to understand a bit more about the issue you are running into. Is it that when you go to edit the refresh settings on a view you accidentally update some other aspect of the slide? Also, can you provide a bit more detail on your workflow? Are you updating the frequency often or is it a flow of adding a view, then changing it from the default refresh setting? Thanks!
