Change to the Diagram Report Merged

Can we change the way that the diagram report links initiatives? Currently the link is between the initiative and the release. Id like to change this so that it links the initiative to the master feature to the feature. We don't have a direct relationship between initiatives between releases as an initiative can span many releases and a release may contain a number of initiatives. Can we therefore make this more granular and link to master features and then features.
