Security per Feature or per Release

To enable consultants and freelancers to also provide estimates and work using Aha!, please implement more fine-grained security features to add user and choose from a list of features they are allowed to see and contribute. This is critical to enable most startups and their business model of leveraging independent consultants contributing to the product. Of course, those consultants will require a contributor license, but should never see the entire business model and strategy and entire roadmap. Think IP protection here. Only see what is required for somebody to do their job.

    Thank you for your idea. It is currently possible to accomplish this in a couple ways. First, you could capture your strategy in a separate product within your product hierarchy. Since Aha! allows you to define permissions by product, you could then provide access only to the products which make sense and isolate the proprietary information. An alternative option would be to leverage our development system integrations. This allows you to pick and choose which features should be sent to the development system to be worked on by the independent consultants.

    At this time, we do not have plans to provide feature level permissions. We hope you can understand.

    In addition...we are trying not to stifle our development teams with more than one dev tracking tool. We will be using Aha! capacity and time estimation features to do that. You are very close to replacing these traditional cumbersome development tools - just get that security done right on a feature level.

    You are INCORRECT! This is currently NOT POSSIBLE!

    When you do it by product, you can not build a merged release roadmap including all products. Also, you can not have 'shared' product vision and strategy and model between multiple products either.

    Please change this feature back to voting!!!! and get to know your product better before making these kinds of product idea decisions!!!

    This is a really needed feature for startup with small teams and the need to hire compartmentalized freelancers
