We are a company that is VERY engaged with our customers, and this is across the globe. Once we spend a few hours or days on site with a customer, they feel like they HAVE given us their feedback and it is redundant for us to go back to them, give them links and then vote for the things they already told us they wanted. We are actually creating more work for them and for us
While we are working toward encouraging our community to actively contribute to our portal site, there will likely always be many cases per year that we will do site visits and come away with lots of feedback - many times this will overlap existing ideas.
