Indicator in list when record is showing in drawer

It would be great if you could figure out a way of indicating which record in a list is currently being presented in the drawer view.  This would be helpful when moving from item to item in a long list because it is difficult to know where I am in the list.  The indicator could be subtle as long it's visible.  There is something similar when looking at features on a board, where the selected feature has a faint shadow around it.
