Threaded comments
As comments are made on a feature, sometimes there are questions that come up that are unrelated to the other comments that have been entered. It would be much easier if I could just reply to the comment and the thread is kept/read in that fashion. This way I am not having to hunt thru a list of comments to try and find the answer to a question, or have to write more just to explain which comment I am replying to.

It is now possible to reply to ideas portal comments in a threaded conversation. We will keep this idea open to continue tracking interest in threads for other types of comments.

Future consideration
Our teams would love to be able to reply to comments, it would be a good way for us to encourage our teams to stay inside Aha! rather than us being forced to export content to word docs to collaborators can comment in line.
We would like this ability in all Comments fields please.
This is much needed for Ideas, for the program I drive. I use the Comments box regularly and do not see the ability to group Portal comments into threads. A user guide would be helpful. Thank you
We could really use this. All of our internal chat tools have threading, and people have come to expect it. Our need id for ideas, but obviously can see the need elsewhere as others have said. People are going into an existing comment and editing it so they can keep their reply with the original comment! Not optimal.
Case in point, I forgot to include that this is NOT JUST FOR IDEAS rather for the broader comment functionality on initiatives, features, etc. AND I cannot comment on my last comment with this additional comment :)
YES this is a big issue for us, especially as we get used to other tools like Teams that have threading so responses can be tied to the specific comment.
The Comments thread can get pretty lengthy on Ideas. I would be nice to respond to an individual comment rather than at the very bottom of the thread.
Also, being able to @-mention customer users rather than just internal users.
This is a key feature to get organizational feedback on a feature. Conversation often involves very diverse issues brought up by the various departments (e.g. Architects, QA, Sales...). Having all comments in a single thread gets confusing and dispersive, stemming the conversation.
And if these are going to be threaded they really ought to have a subject line to them in the UI and the outbound email.
