Allocated votes vs Votes per user

As an idea machine, I'd like to see "my votes" in an idea portal to reflect the number of votes that I, personally, have been allocated so that I know how many more votes I can use.  Today, it only reflects the number of votes that have been allocated per user, by default, as shown on the Configuring Idea Portal page.  (Note: I increased my vote allocation to 50, while all other users are limited to 25.)
