Custom Date field Rollup

We need the ability to have custom date fields that contain specific dates  also be rolled up into larger time frames, such as quarters. You currently already provide this for things like releases, however I have setup my aha! workflow differently, and there are no release date fields for features. This means I have to create two custom fields, one for a specific date and one for quarter (that's dumb). 

This is particularly cumbersome when creating a pivot table (or any report) when I want to look at my features by a feature release quarter.

    Thank you for your idea. There are a couple of options available that may help here. First, for the specific use case mentioned, you can create a pivot table show features by release quarter. This can be done by using features as your primary record type, then adding releases as a related record type. This will allow you to select the built in "Release quarter" field. For custom fields, one option would be to use a custom roadmap rather than a pivot. This would allow you to set the timeline resolution to show quarters rather than a more specific timeframe.

    At this time, given the options above and historical support for this idea, we are unlikely to implement this idea. We hope you can understand.
