Custom table records are currently sorted by order of creation. Since users often create more important/common records first, the important ones end up at the bottom of the list. Instead, allow sorting these records via drag-and-drop (or at least alphabetically).
Even to change the sorting to be Alphabetical by the first column would work. Without that, I can't use this field in anything involving user input (e.g., in using it in Filters).
Guys, we need this baaaaasic feature
While having the ability to create custom table is nice, not being able to sort or filter on those entries almost defeats the purpose. If the reason for the table requires this, it forces you into other solutions for that data. To utilize this function, the sort and filter capabilities need to be added.
We are using custom tables to track key clients. The inability to sort by client name is becoming very challenging because you have to page through all the clients and find the one you're looking for! Please introduce the sorting on columns in custom tables.
This becoming a hot topic with the users. Opportunities don't have an ID , so it can't be searched, you have to page through them to find it.
Tables without a sorting functionality is like eating cereals without milk:
It will work out. But it would be sooooooo much better with it!
Please, please please???!
Badly needed as it is becoming very difficult to find the right record as there is no option to sort.
We raised a ticket https://support.aha.io/hc/requests/223519 and were directed to this Idea.
This is such a critical feature for Intuit - it is needed ASAP on not only custom tables, but even on pivot tables we create. Most reporting tools today allow clicking on the column header to change sorting to a different column than presented - please help ensure this is included.
Also important - to find the right row quickly, filtering on custom table values is needed too, esp when it contains numerous rows.
Thanks for considering this for immediate implementation!
This could not come fast enough. Hoping it makes it on your list of implementation items soon.
Being able to sort can also temporarily solve the issue where rows cannot be moved in custom tables.
Please consider this a high priority. We have use cases for this that are waiting for this sorting functionality to implement.
This is a great idea. We really need this to track our project information.
This is badly needed, along with other updates to custom tables. Finding the right records to update is too difficult sometimes.
