The default text in the feature description box is a subtle grey. This is appropriate for "explanatory" text, and makes it obvious to the end user that this is explanatory text that needs to be updated.
When I create custom explanatory text for Ideas, it also appears in the appropriate grey.
When I create custom explanatory text for the description box features, it is in a dark black. As a result, it's not obvious to the end user that it is explanatory. And it looks bad.
I believe this didn't used to be the case, not sure why it was changed. Can you please make it grey? Or give the user a choice.
This is the screenshot created by the Aha team. As you can see, the feature template looks odd.
Even better, I would like the text I enter to just disappear, just as the default text and the text in the Ideas "disappears".

Thank you for the note. As you had mentioned, the feature templates are meant to be used to help enforce users to use a specific process when defining features. As such, we use the black font to help them use the existing template and to type feature information within those buckets.
The older placeholder text that you had mentioned is meant more for an explanation (but would not actually be used in building out a specific description).
At this time, we do not have plans for revisions in this area. We hope you can understand.
