Notebook usability enahcements Merged

There are a number of usability enhancements I'd like to see with notebooks:

Better navigation. EVERYONE misses the little nav arrows at the bottom of notebook.
Better formatting. Formatting and layout options are extremely limited.
Better graphic support. Imported graphics come in really small and can't be placed or resized.
Overall better functionality - maybe not the level of powerpoint or google presentations, but something above the very basic capabilities that currently exist.
