Inclusion of additional fields from SFDC such as Risk and/or Account status would be helpful for the PM's when assessing and prioritizing ideas for based on the opportunities for that idea. However, these fields typically won't exist in Salesforce. The request is that the additional fields would be added at the point of data entry through the Salesforce plugin and then passed along to Aha! and associated with each individual opportunity.
We recently enhanced the Salesforce integration to sync accounts and fields — like account revenue or status — to Aha! organizations. And now you can sync Salesforce opportunity data — such as value, stage, probability, and close date — with feedback in Aha! Ideas. Read more.
Yes, this would be great! We have a custom label in Salesforce for the account's potential, Gold/Silver/Bronze etc and it would be really useful to be able to bring that in to help it add weight to the requests. This would also be valuable on the reporting end of things. We definitely need to show Account ARR, but custom fields would be really useful too.
The opportunity value is always in the local currency. This makes the ability to view and report on total opportunity values for ideas pretty much useless for an organization that has sales teams in many different countries. A 200,000 Yen deal in Japan is worth 10 times less than a 20,000 dollar opportunity in the US, but counts for 10 times as much!
We would also welcome the ability to break down ideas by the market region and vertical.
This is key to using Salesforce together with Aha. Without custom fields, the Salesforce integration is close to unusable for SaaS companies using custom fields such as ARR
Being able to map our SF fields to idea in Aha would solve so many issues for us. Much rather have this ability as part of the integration of the installed Package and config instead of API calls. Simple mapping would make it simple.
Need to support our custom revenue fields ARR, NARR, Opportunity link, probability of closing, close date and opportunity URL link.
Aha! should have to build a simple mapping fields on existing Salesforce Integration. This would solve big challenges in building custom integration.
The default Amount field doesn't always have the necessary value. There should be a way to include various other Salesforce fields to gather correct Opportunity value.
Requirement at Databricks is to add custom fields or extend the Idea Request table so that we can capture impact and status of the opportunity (in this we are linking through Opportunity) . When we looked at the Aha objects, "Idea Request" table is not listed. Since we cannot add custom fields, we don't have any option to use API to update too and hence this is blocker from implementation standpoint.

What we would like to do is to allow Salesforce users to edit the value of a custom field, such that this value would be updated back in Aha!
Would really like to see this feature. Would also be beneficial to be able to link salesforce fields to Aha! custom fields so that in turn JIRA custom fields mapped to Aha! fields can be automatically updated with changes committed by support and sales teams in Salesforce.
I think this is a critical feature. We need visibility into deal criticality for this Idea per Salesforce opportunity. Right now the only place to put criticality is on the Idea itself, which goes across multiple opportunities.
Our team has custom fields associated to the Opportunity records which indicate
bringing these values into the idea scorecard automatically or at least presenting the details for a scoring session would be fantastic.
Another use case for this; we do not use the "Orders" object in SF so we are not passing through the value associated to an account into Aha! It would be great if we could define a custom field to be used as Value and pass that through.
This would also be valuable for cases
Bryan - you can already add custom fields in Aha! for ideas that can be included as part of the Idea submittal form for ideas that are added through an Idea Portal. But, this approach would only work if your users are submitting their ideas through the Idea Portal and not through the Salesforce integration.
Perhaps more useful than inclusion of fields would be to allow custom fields in Aha! that can be selected when submitting the idea via Aha! This way you could select between "nice to have" or "deal killer" or perhaps have a risk slider to select the scale of the impact risk the feature has on the account. This is not something we track in Salesforce.
