Push features to Rally without a release

An Aha feature pushed to Rally creates the Feature/User Story in Rally as well as the Release information. An Aha feature in the Parking Lot (not tied to a specific release) will still be created in Rally, but there is an error message with the release since Aha didn't have any release associated with it. I would like to still be able to push Features without a release into Rally so my development team can estimate story points in the Rally backlog... which in turn helps the product managers scope a future release.
