Ability to sort Comments by date and/or list most current first

I use the Comments field as a place to store Weekly Project status comments / and actions.. When team members visit the Aha! project it would be beneficial to have the most recent comments listed first versus scrolling down the list of comments to find the most current. if not they may find what is perceived as the most current and be misinformed or out of date.

This way we can see relevant/up to date information without having to scroll.

Also the History Tab is sorted by newest first so having sort order consistent across tabs would be another bonus for the user experience.

It would be very beneficial to view comments with the most recent comment at the top, similar to how comments are listed in Jira. This would help the team review quickly look at the most recent updates w/o having to scroll all the way down.

Another +1. We'd like to be able to see the comments stream showing newest first. The ability to sort by choice would be even better.

We're going to use comments to capture latest status updates on initiatives and epics, and some of these will be large enough to span more than a calendar year and will likely have dozens of comments. Having to scroll to the bottom to find the latest isn't a great user experience and another barrier for some of our PMs who are reluctant to use Aha anyway.

For now as a workaround I can create reporting to show the most recent comment on an initiative so those people who need to see the latest can catch it all at a glance.

+1 on this. Newest first seems to be the standard. We integrate with Azure DevOps and it sorts with newest first. Also, email threads work this way. So, it's a little confusing to have to scroll to the bottom to see the newest comment in Aha.

PS. NOTE HOW THIS board lists the most recent comments first (for good reasons), but Aha! does the reverse.

"An old pile is a junk pile," so it's hard to see what's most important right now.
Currently, I'm forced to see the old comments first and scroll down to the more pertinent ones.

I am new to the "Ideas world" -- inconsistencies like this are a real barrier. Portals order comments with newest on top, so it is mind boggling to find out that once they transfer to the workspace/project they are listed oldest to newest. A coworker suggested perhaps the comments could be numbered, which would be helpful if this design cannot be changed, and also if multiple comments are received in one day since there is no timestamp shown for a comment.

My client would like this and also the ability to "pin" a comment to the top, which is captured in https://big.ideas.aha.io/ideas/A-I-9049.

I would also like this sort and hide older comments option for the Workplace notes. I keep meeting notes here and it's a really pain to scroll down to the bottom to see the latest comments...

Please consider this idea soon, as we have lots of comments on some items and seeing the latest first would really help, people are missing them as not everyone checks the dates, they assume recent comments will be at the top, just like here!

So ironic that this web site has comments ordered by most recent first but in the tool itself.

Any update on when this could/may be moved out of "Future consideration"? What would it take to get moving on this idea?

Yes, I need that too. What can be done to get it going? As I see this "idea" origins from 2015?

Would love to see this put into place. We have so many comments and when I am driving our PMO meeting live in Aha, it is distracting to the group to watch me scroll thru pages of old comments to be able to see the most recent info.

Comments display in the Release & Feature detail pages, as well as in Reports, as oldest on top. Is there any way I can switch this order so that newest displays on top?

When using AHA as a meeting agenda, facilitation is smoother when you are not required to scroll to the bottom of a long list (losing sight of the other Feature Detail fields) to find the most recent activity/comment on the issue.

Change default sort-order for comments

Merged
We make extensive use of comments in features and releases. We'd like the ability to change the default sort (or sort at all) order for the comments so that newest is on top and goes newest to oldest.

Comment threads should be in reverse chronological order

We are starting to have tickets in Aha that have a significant number of comments back and forth between developers and between developers and product managers. It would be better to have the most recent comments at the top of the list rather than...
