Maybe a feature is created from an initiative that has a big BRD document attached.
Instead of attaching the file again (thus duplicating it in the Files section) we could search and attach previous loaded files (as a pointer to that file).
Alejandro, thanks for the suggestion, and Harrison, thank you for the suggested workaround. As you had described, this is a good way to have a single source for various key documents.
At this time, we are unlikely to implement functionality around this specific feature due to the current priorities and goals. However, we will keep this idea open to gather additional feedback to track the level of interest within the community.
Alejandro - I think you can already do this. Here's what I've done:
Create a Note - name it something intuitive
Attach the file to the note
In the description field of the feature or requirement, use # like you would an @ to call out a user, but instead a list of note names will appear. Pick yours and you have what you need
That said - it would be cool in the file attachment portion if you could do this there so it was in the same place.
When looking to attach a file, I can choose to select from the computer or any of the attached cloud storage services.
You also provide the option to use any of the files that may have already been uploaded for that record.
