In case an item has been deleted by mistake (a requirement, a feature, a note, a to do...) the recycle bin would keep the item for a short period of time in case we need to retrieve it. For example, for 24 hours after deletion we can choose to retrieve it back or it will be permanently deleted.
We have created the ability for you to restore recently deleted workspaces and bulk-deleted records using a recycle bin. Administrators with account user permissions can find it in Settings ⚙️> Account > Recycle bin.
Hello, this feature request (idea) shouldn't say shipped as the ability exists to recycle items deleted in bulk ONLY... whereas the title of the idea is much broader... is there another feature request which talks about having the ability to restore any deleted items?
Currently the recycle bin only applies to deleted products and records deleted via bulk edit. It does not apply to individually deleted records other than products.
The text in Settings > Account > Recycle bin says, "The recycle bin contains recently deleted workspaces and records recently deleted via bulk delete." Is it really reserved for bulk delete only?
I would have found this useful on several occasions - the ability to restore a deleted item would be useful.
Here's a way to solve the recycling bin dilemma: Create a product called Recycle Bin (RECYCLE). Store it at the root of your product hierarchy and edit permissions to meet your needs, such as Product Owners only. Instead of deleting a feature, just change the release to RECYCLE.
Currently when deleting items (requirements, features, notes, to-do's, etc.), there is a follow-up prompt to double check whether the permanent "delete" action was intended.
At this stage, we don't have plans for a Recycle bin, but feel that the browser prompt should help to serve as a final double check. I hope you can understand.
