Bring in pivot table field from linked record

I create a development product, in which I add all development that can be used by many final products.

I build a pivot table to make a release content of one final product.

I would like to see in this release content the description of the feature that is in the development product.

I would like to have the capability in the pivot table to include the Feature description + requirement from the linked feature.

 

Example :

Development product : Release R1, Feature A

Final Product : Release R-Alpha, Feature Beta.

 

Feature Beta contains (linked record) Feature A.

Release content of final product:

Release Content document - R -Alpha
Feature Beta Description of feature A Requiement of feature A

 

I find a way to do it another way but nothing automatic, I always need to check in the Final product release if it includes linked record from Development product.

    Thank you for your idea. The dependency report is designed to help represent links such as these. You can also include additional data related to the dependent record -- such as descriptions.

    Given the capabilities of the dependency report and the complexity this would add for creating pivot reports, we are unlikely to implement this idea at this time. We hope you can understand.
