Currently the Features Board makes you choose between viewing Master Features OR Features.
It would be better if you could have the option to view Master Features AND Features on the board.
This is particularly helpful when trying to search for a master feature or feature by name. Perhaps if there was a 3rd button that was for Master Feature + Features (so you could choose just features, just master features, or both master features and features).
Currently the easiest way I find to do this is to generate a report that contains both master features and features (i.e. a pivot or hierarchy report), and use CTRL+F in the browser to find the text I was searching for. This all seems overkill for what seems like could just be made available on the board by default.
While I know how to generate reports relatively quickly:
A. Why should I have to generate a report if it's only for this to begin with?
B. People who are not familiar with Aha are frequently frustrated, or worse confused, by this.
C. This all seems like a relatively easy ask: just another button on the bar (see attached image as a mock up of the idea)
The user could continue to filter by just features, just master features and both by which button they select (if you prefer that single button approach rather than two toggles which would be my other idea).
Thanks for submitting this idea!
I'm glad you were able to find the card customization feature. I'm going to merge this idea with a similar idea that we're tracking for the same functionality you've described here.
As an update I was informed by a team member that you can go through a series of steps to show both:
1. Click on the configure button (cogwheel)
2. On the Feature card tab check the "show master features" box
3. Save and you can see both
This is not obvious and while the Aha gurus can deal with it, it's a bit awkward and for the non-gurus it's confusing (and likely something they will forget if they only use Aha once in a while).
I still think the idea would be far clearer and easier to use.
