Import capacity planning advanced estimates

For large product teams there will be multiple initiatives and associated estimates. It would be beneficial to be able to import estimates when an annual planning process is underway, to reduce manual workload and assist in assuring quality.

I see the need to bulk imports to with scenarios and adding in non-working days plus adding additional teams.

    Hi Julie,
Thanks for the reply – ‘Estimates’ on my idea relates to Capacity Planning Advanced Estimates, I should have made that clear.

    Thanks,

    Chris

    Thanks for the idea!

You can currently import original estimates from Workspace settings > Import from CSV by including either of the following in your file:

    • Original estimate text: Set the original estimated effort in a text format, you can use d, h, min (or 'p' for points) to indicate the units to use. Note: Can also be named: original_estimate_text

    • Original estimate: Set the original estimated effort in minutes. Note: Can also be named: original_estimate

Curious, is this what you were looking for? If not, can you please share a little more about your use case and what you would like to see?

Import facility for Virtual Users used in Capacity Planning

Merged
Some of our product teams would like to manage their capacity forecasts by entering virtual users in teams. There are more than one hundred users for some products, having an import facility would save a lot of work
