Release date as milestone (Gantt view)

we would like to have the older view back where release date was a milestone under a release, the current view is confusing when it is expanded. People like to read things in a list order and after all the activities they would want to see the release as a milestone ( just like the old view) . There might be a delay in a release date even after all the activities are completed, with the current view, it will be completely missed.
