It would be useful to be able to customize layouts. For example, add section markers to separate fields for a more organized view, add helper text underneath field names that doesn't disappear as soon as the user starts typing, and arrange related fields side by side for a cleaner, shorter layout.
This would be a great value add to the UI! We have a lot of fields we need to gather for certain records, and we don't necessarily want to hide them in tabs but instead have headlines for field groupings (and potentially make those collapsable?)
We would find this very helpful as well. I would like to add that it would also be nice to be able to add text instructions onto the layout as well.
